Market Access Developer Vie Hong Kong

Your environment

Within Societe General Global Banking and Investor Solutions (GBIS), you will join as a VIE, the Information Technologies Department (ITEC) which is composed of more than 70 people focus on Client and Trading Technology in the Asia Pacific region. Based in Hong Kong, you will be part of the Market Access Development team, in charge of developing and maintaining a wide range of in-house electronic trading solutions, spanning from order management and market data systems, to risk management and trading tools.
At the crossroad between Front, Middle and Back Office in one hand, Financial Exchanges and third party providers in the other hand, market access systems aim at providing a transparent, high performance and reliable interface between our core business lines, and the market as a whole.
In order to face with the high volumes and the very low latency required by real-time automated trading, systems are in permanent evolution, implementing state of the art technologies and algorithms, and subject to a continuous monitoring.
 
Your role


As a VIE, your main missions will be:
* Take over the development, maintenance and evolution of several modules of the real-time order passing and market data handler platforms

* Build and improve various tools of our continuous build and automatic testing

* Extend the coverage of the existing platforms over Asia/Pacific countries and markets by implementing support for new protocols and interfaces
* Work in close cooperation with the network, hardware, system and support teams to define the optimal operational architecture and ensure smooth deployment of the applications to production
* Perform in-depth unit, validation, robustness and load testing of the applications
* Follow ITEC recommendations and processes
* Handle the level 3 support on his perimeter

 
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
 
This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
You will receive an allowance to complete Ubifrance allowance.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Ubifrance's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.
 
 
Your career path
 
This mission will enable you to take more responsibilities by leading a complete project on the entire life cycle from business needs, through specification to the deployment to production.
The position is a great opportunity to discover the equity derivatives business. There will be lots of interaction with the development and support team, as well as with the business.
You will also develop expertise on C++, networking and programming driven by performance.

Profil recherché

Graduate with a Master degree from Business or Engineering School or University, with a major in Finance and a specialization in software development, you have a first experience of C++ development, ideally in financial industry.
You hold a sound understanding of algorithms, a wide technical knowledge covering networking and operating systems, as well as outstanding programming and analytical skills.
You are proficient with C++, Object Oriented Design, Scripting language (shell, perl, python) and networking.
Linux/Unix system programming and debugging as well as Linux Command knowledge will be appreciated.
Your speak English fluently. Speaking Chinese or Japanese would be a plus.
With a good client-driven approach, you are both results and quality-oriented.
Finally, your ability to estimate risk in your activity and your team spirit will be keys to succeed in your mission.
